[Available in 15g & 25g pack]
This beautifully aged Gong Mei 2014 was handpicked in Spring 2014 from Fuding (Fujian), the birthplace of white tea. With a herbaceous, woody aroma and undertones of dried figs and cranberries, this nearly ten-year-old tea is ideal for individuals who love a sweet and fruity flavour and a long finish. White tea has an iconic phrase that goes, "一年好,三年药,七年宝,十年不好找" which translates to "Good in one year, medicinal in three years, a treasure in seven years, and a rarity in ten years." Because of its age, it has a well rounded wild honey sweetness, smooth mouthfeel and finish, with no trace of bitterness!
A gentle, low caffeinated tea, this Aged Gong Mei is suitable for tea lovers to enjoy it any time of the day.
Note - The leaves are knife-picked from a compressed tea cake. It is normal to have leaves in bits and compact state. We recommend discarding the first brew (as it serves to "awaken" the compact leaves) and drink from the second brew.
