Enjoyed for centuries, First Flush Bi Luo Chun, also called Green Snail Spring, is a premium Chinese green tea. Since the tea plant is allowed enough time and nutrients to flourish over the months of hibernation, the hand-picked tea buds, which are harvested in the early spring, are thought to be of the highest quality. The buds are covered in fine hairs, and these trichomes—which should not be confused with mold—are frequently found on the inside cover of tea packaging!

The dry buds are shaped like snail shells, with a pronounced spiral form. The tea lacks any astringency and has a aroma of alfalfa, sweet and crisp mouthfeel and a faint nutty fragrance.
