This Top Grade Taiwan Qing Xin Oolong | 坪林包种茶(青心)  is a light and refreshing tea with a hint of sweetness and an osmanthus and subtle chysanthemum floral aroma.  We were lucky to snag it just before the annual competition took place before it was gone! The new generation farmer has taken over most of the operations of the family business while his father still stays up the night to expertly process the tea that has landed our shores.

Interesting fact about this tea is that Taiwanese parents used to buy this tea for their children just before their exams to drink as Baozhong 包種 sounds very similar to 包 中 which loosely translates to "definitely passing with flying colours."

It has a bright green color and a smooth, silky texture. It is a highly sought-after tea as it is known for its antioxidant properties and its mellow, lightly roasted flavor. Enjoy this classic Taiwanese tea on its own or with a light snack for a perfect pick-me-up.
